Substack post! One of the easiest traps in improv is watching great improvisers and deciding that you want to do exactly what they’re doing. And that makes total sense. Good improv is fun to watch! It’s magic. All of us probably have a show we saw that talked us into signing up for classes. High-level execution is impressive. And if you’re new enough to still be figuring out your taste, it’s easy to confuse admiring the skill you see with wanting to make exactly that kind of show... @baseball
